Young Warriors Gold Coast Concert A Hit!

Last Thursday night, in front of a near sell out crowd of family, friends and fans, the Gold Coast 2017 Young Warriors took to the stage at the Helensvale Cultural Centre for the big gig, the final performance of this year's program. After weeks of solid rehearsals and workshops seven bands performed in what has been hailed as the best gig in the program’s history! The Young Warriors Making Music Live program sponsored by the Gold Coast City Council is on Thursday June 15 commencing at 7pm at Helensvale Cultural Centre's Auditorium. Free entry. The Recording Workshop with Brad Hosking (Amy Shark Band) @ Coomera TAFE went extremely well. All participants who attended played a part in recording a tune on the day and went through this great facility in Coomera Qld. as well as a workshop on the ins & outs of a studio and what is involved in preparation for bands in general. Participants in this year's Young Warriors Making Music Live program were recently treated to an awesome songwriting workshop with two of Australia's finest new artists, Amy Shark and Bobby Alu. The workshop was a highlight on the National Youth Week event schedule on the Gold Coast. Amy, fresh from a sell out national tour and after taking out second place in this year's Triple J Hottest 100 with her track 'Adore', was full of great advice and practical tips for the aspiring young group.
